GEN ST 297

This course is designed for juniors and seniors pursuing the interdisciplinary data science minor.  In this seminar style course, we will encourage students to reflect on their coursework and experiences in order to identify their skills, strengths and interests. We will support  students contextualizing their academic experiences in order to articulate their skillset to employers, graduate schools, and other post graduate opportunities. This course will rely on reflection activities, guest speakers, alumni connections, and small group discussions to build community while helping students build a framework for connecting their minor and major coursework. We hope students complete the course with the tools to reflect, identify, create, and make progress towards short and long term goals after their time at UW. Course will be offered Winter quarters.
